Jim Durkin – Spiritual Warfare Series

Radiance Media 1970s

In 1973, Jim Durkin presented what was for us a groundbreaking series of teachings on warfare in the invisible spiritual realm. This set of recordings was made at Deliverance Temple: the white shipboard clad church that young Jesus People flocked to weekly.

With the benefit of hindsight, it is easy to see teaching areas that Jim Durkin marginalised or failed to address at all. While listening to these recordings, therefore, it should to be remembered that Gospel Outreach was a pioneer ministry and Jim was busy training young people, many if not most of whom had emerged from the 1960s hippy counter-culture.

I believe that this library of audio recordings will be of immense value to researchers in years to come. I was personally present as Jim first delivered these teachings and they had a significant impact upon my life. I am convinced that the core of this teaching remains fresh today, and has the potential to help many new 21st century believers in their Christian life of discipleship. [As of April 2019, the second message in this six-part series is yet to be digitally re-mastered.]  – John Ruffle, April 20, 2019.

I have grouped these recordings as two associated sets: “Spiritual Victory” (2 messages as originally delivered) and “Spiritual Warfare”, (a set of six consecutive messages).
